Utah Strip Club Culture

Several different types of strip clubs are found in Utah. You must be at least 18 to enter clubs that do not serve alcohol and are expected to pay a cover charge at the door. You must be over 21 to enter private clubs that have a full liquor selection. Private strip clubs require patrons to purchase either a temporary membership or an annual membership. Membership prices, synonymous with cover charges vary from club to club. Members are allowed to sponsor as many guests as they choose, but guests may only enter a club when the sponsor is present. Strip clubs with bars that only serve wine and beer do not require patrons to purchase a membership. Many private clubs and non-private clubs with bars feature a full menu, and provide a relaxing environment of pool tables, video game machines, and televisions in addition to Utah's most beautiful ladies.

Patrons often remark on the stringent and confusing laws that govern these establishments. Under Utah state law all dancers must wear pasties. Dancers are required to stay at least three feet away from customers if a club serves alcohol. Strip clubs with completely nude dancers are not allowed to serve alcohol. Law forbids patrons from touching any dancers. Tips if given must be placed on the club's stage.

Utah strip clubs feature beautiful dancers that more than make up for the strict laws. American Bush is a popular topless strip club located in Salt Lake City that does not serve alcohol. It is the only Salt Lake City club that does not have to adhere to the 3-foot-law. Patrons must pay a $6 cover charge to enter. Private dances cost $20 or $60. Southern X-posure Cabaret, also located in Salt Lake City has a $6 cover, a full bar, and menu. The Dream On Club located in Midvale serves only beer and wine forcing the 3-foot rule into effect. No table or private dances available. Northern X-posure Show Club located in Ogden has a full bar with reasonably priced drinks.
